Kitchen Colors

Homeowner’s are being more confident in the kitchen colors and more willing to let their personal styles shine through that any color is fashionable. Kitchen colors should be driven by self-expression, glamorous living experiences or also an increasing awareness of important environmental causes.

With the environmental movement, green may become the newest neutral color. Using green as a subtle backdrop in your kitchen colors will reflect as being eco-conscious and socially responsible. Green comes in such different tones as fern, palm, pine and sage. Combine green with an aqua or clear blue to create an area that has an outdoor friendly feeling. Or combine green with an adobe brown or sandy tan for an earthy, eco-friendly feeling.

If you want your kitchen colors to scream sophisticated elegance, use black and white paint colors along with stainless steel appliances and mirrors. Lighting accessories and silver metallic sheens add to the sophisticated feel for the room. For an unexpected color punch add a dramatic red or

keep the classic undertones using a subtle pink or taupe. Black and white kitchen colors will create a dramatic and sophisticated area.

Many homeowners still strive for simplicity in the kitchen colors choices. Using kitchen colors such as deep reds, brown and spicy oranges, and deep blues will add a soulful, comfortable feel to the kitchen and create a sense of stability. These particular kitchen colors work well with wood and will produce a relaxed environment.

Use subtle colors to create a soothing atmosphere which provides comfort. Using warm kitchen colors like apricot, yellow and red will not only provide comfort but will also simulate the appetite. If you would like to project nature in your kitchen colors then use silver blues, gray greens and tobacco browns. Your kitchen colors should reflect your personality and create the kind of family friendly environment that fits you. So whether you decide to go with bold colors or more subtle tones, create the type of kitchen that is inviting to you and your family.
